Commemorating YMCA’s 123rd anniversary and Singapore’s SG60 through a 123km inclusive walk

Singapore, 17 October 2025 – Actxa is privileged to support the YMCA of Singapore’s (“YMCA”) Find Your Y: Inclusive Challenge on 16 October 2025 as the Official Smart-Tech Wearable Sponsor, reinforcing a shared commitment to inclusivity and community.

The Challenge marked YMCA’s 123rd anniversary and Singapore’s SG60 with a 123km inclusive walk across Singapore. Participants, including youth with special needs, caregivers, YMCA staff, volunteers and corporate partners, completed the journey while symbolically tracing “SG60” on the route via GPS mapping.

As the Official Smart-Tech Wearable Sponsor, Actxa provided every participant with a Spark+ Series 2 Activity Tracker to track their steps and celebrate their progress throughout the journey. In addition, Sense 2 Smart Scales were sponsored as lucky draw prizes, adding an element of motivation and fun to the event.

“At Actxa, we believe technology should empower people to live healthier and more connected lives,” Marcus Soo, Chief Executive Officer of Actxa.

“The Find Your Y: Inclusive Challenge reflects our core values of altruism, empathy, and inclusiveness. By walking together and supporting one another, participants demonstrate how purposeful connections and mindful living can strengthen both individuals and the wider community. We are privileged to partner with YMCA in building a more connected and compassionate Singapore.”

YMCA, the organiser of the event, shared that the Challenge was about much more than the distance covered.

“Actxa's support adds a meaningful dimension to this year’s YMCA Inclusive Challenge. With the Sense 2 and Spark+ Series 2 devices, participants can not only track their fitness but also see how every step contributes to a more inclusive community,” said Wu Mei Ling, General Secretary & CEO, YMCA of Singapore.

About YMCA of Singapore

The YMCA of Singapore, founded in 1902, is a registered charity that seeks to serve and impact all members of the community regardless of race, language or religion. We champion, challenge and train youth with special needs, youth-at-risk, youth volunteers and leaders to become independent and effective contributors to society. Through our wholistic care and educational programmes, we support children to reach their maximum potential and nurture in them values of care, honesty and responsibility. Beyond the shores of Singapore, we uplift communities through addressing basic needs and engaging in sustainable projects. All these are made possible through the dedicated efforts of volunteers and staff, with the support of stakeholders, funders, donors and our social enterprises.

In 2022, YMCA was conferred the Charity Transparency Award (CTA) by the Charity Council for good disclosure practices.

About YMCA Programmes

YMCA Youth Support conducts various programmes to empower youth with special needs and youth-at-risk. These initiatives enhance the social development of young people, providing them with opportunities for gainful employment and independent living.

Out-of-school youth and youth-at-risk are trained for employability in areas such as early childhood and digital marketing through the YMCA Vocational and Soft Skills Programme. Effective communication, conflict management and resume writing are included in the training for job readiness.

To support their social development, youth with special needs, especially those who are 18 years and above, take part in YMCA Club LITE activities. These range from arts and crafts, sports and fitness, workshops to promote independent living, and more.

YMCA Community Engagement and Partnerships engages donors and volunteers through meaningful fundraising events and volunteering opportunities, to develop youth and impact communities.
