Dr Du Yao
Dr. Du is the Head of Research and Development, driving the creation of Actxa’s next-generation, AI-enabled preventive care algorithms. Leading a team of R&D scientists in Singapore, he is responsible for translating fundamental scientific research into impactful commercial products.
With a strong background in deep tech, Dr. Du holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Cambridge University. Prior to joining Actxa, he served as a Senior Scientist / Assistant Head at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), where he was instrumental in shaping Singapore’s national research strategy for MedTech under the RIE 2025 plan. He is an inventor on multiple international patents in medical and wearable healthcare devices.
Dr. Du's research expertise spans biophotonics, device miniaturisation, advanced biosensing, and the application of AI to transform personal and preventive healthcare, with a focus on cardiovascular and women’s health.
