Emeritus Professor Satvinder Singh Dhaliwal

Professor Dhaliwal is an Emeritus Professor of Biostatistics within the Faculty of Health Sciences at Curtin University, Australia. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, National University of Singapore.

 

Professor Dhaliwal is also a freelance Biostatistics Consultant with the Ministry of Health, Singapore. He is also a Professor and Mentor at Institute for Research in Molecular Medicine (INFORMM), Universiti Sains Malaysia.

 

Professor Dhaliwal’s primary field of research is chronic disease and prevention, identification of risk factors for diseases, and clinical prediction modelling for the prediction of chronic diseases or conditions. He has been a Chief Investigator on numerous research grants, with total funding received from various institutions, both locally and internationally, exceeding $16 million. Professor Dhaliwal has published over 200 peer-reviewed scientific journal articles with over 9,600 citations and a Google Scholar H-index of 50. His publications have had a significant impact and were often the result of successful national and international research collaborations.

His highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills enable him to provide sound research advice on clinical projects within Actxa and in collaboration with external stakeholders.
